The Sustainserv team has just entered its fourth year of coordinating the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN),dedicated to promoting sustainable campus planning, construction and operations worldwide. Currently, more than 100 universities and colleges are participating in the ISCN (www.isc-network.org), where senior administration and faculty with responsibility for sustainability on campus exchange information, experiences and best practices.

This year’s ISCN member conference, held in June in Lausanne Switzerland, was organized in collaboration with the Global University Leaders Forum (GULF), the higher education network convened by the World Economic Forum. Sustainserv Director Bernd Kasemir serves as ISCN program manager while his colleague Sustainserv Director Matthew Gardner coordinates the ISCN’s Awards Program, which honors campus sustainability projects that set worldwide standards of excellence.
